About MP2 Savings Calculator

A free tool built for Filipino savers

What is MP2 Savings Calculator?

The MP2 Savings Calculator is a free, open-source educational tool designed specifically for Filipino Pag-IBIG Fund members. It helps you understand and project how your MP2 (Modified Pag-IBIG II) voluntary savings can grow over time through compounding dividends. Whether you are just starting to explore MP2 or are already an active contributor, this tool gives you a clear picture of your potential returns.

Why We Built This

Many Filipinos are not fully aware of the benefits that the Pag-IBIG MP2 program offers. It is one of the safest and most rewarding savings vehicles available in the Philippines — government-guaranteed with tax-free dividends that consistently outperform traditional bank savings. We created this calculator to make MP2 more accessible and easier to understand, so more Filipinos can make informed decisions about their savings and financial future.

What You Can Do With This Tool

  • Calculate projected returns — Enter your monthly contribution, investment period, and expected dividend rate to see how much your savings can grow.
  • Visualize growth over time — View an interactive chart showing your contributions vs. accumulated dividends year by year.
  • Learn about MP2 — Read about the key benefits of MP2, how to enroll, and why it is one of the best savings options for Filipinos.
  • Compare investments — See how MP2 stacks up against bank savings, time deposits, UITFs, mutual funds, and the stock market.

How the Calculator Works

The calculator uses a simplified compound interest projection model. It takes your monthly contribution, multiplies it over the investment period, and applies the expected annual dividend rate to estimate your total returns. The historical MP2 dividend rates (2019–2025) displayed in the tool are sourced from official Pag-IBIG Fund announcements and public reports. Please note that actual dividends are declared annually by the Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees and may vary from year to year.
